If you’re doing laser hair removal, timing your spray tan sessions correctly is key. Get it wrong and you could irritate your skin or ruin both results. Here’s how to navigate both treatments.
Wait Before You Tan
After a laser hair removal session, your skin is sensitive and may be slightly inflamed. Wait at least 48 to 72 hours before getting a spray tan. Tan solution on freshly lasered skin can cause irritation and uneven absorption.
Tan Before Your Next Laser Session
If you want a spray tan before your next laser appointment, book it at least 24 hours in advance. Laser hair removal works best on untanned skin, since the laser targets pigment. A fresh spray tan can interfere with the treatment.
The Best Approach
Many people find the easiest rhythm is to do laser hair removal first, wait 2 to 3 days, then spray tan. This gives your skin time to recover and ensures the tan develops evenly on calm, clear skin.
If you have any redness or irritation from laser, skip the spray tan until it’s fully healed. Our booth applies solution to every inch of skin, so any irritation will be covered and potentially aggravated.
Book your session at TANNED TO once your skin has recovered.
