Can I Get a Spray Tan If I Have Sensitive Skin?

Have sensitive skin and nervous about spray tanning? Here’s how to tan safely without irritation or reaction.

Can I Get a Spray Tan If I Have Sensitive Skin?

Sensitive skin doesn’t mean you have to skip the glow. With the right precautions, spray tanning is completely doable — and our automated booth is actually one of the best options for sensitive skin.

Why Our Booth Is Great for Sensitive Skin

The solutions we use are paraben-free, fragrance-free, and formulated specifically for sensitive skin. There’s no harsh rubbing or touching, which means less physical irritation than a hand-applied session. The booth applies the solution evenly without friction.

Do a Patch Test First

If you’re worried about a reaction, do a simple patch test at home. Apply a small amount of the solution to the inside of your wrist or elbow. Wait 24 hours and check for any redness, itching, or irritation. If you’re clear, you’re good to go.

The Clear Solution Is Your Friend

The Clear solution has fewer additives than the Malibu bronzer, making it the gentler option for sensitive skin. It develops the same colour but with less potential for irritation from colourants.

Common Irritants to Avoid

Skip deodorant, perfume, and heavily fragranced body washes on the day of your tan. These can react with the DHA and cause redness or uneven colour.

If you have eczema, psoriasis, or active breakouts, check with your dermatologist first. Otherwise, you’re likely in the clear. Book your session and glow without the worry.
