Walking into a spray tan booth for the first time can feel intimidating — but it really shouldn’t. The entire experience at TANNED TO is designed to be simple, quick, and completely on your terms. No small talk, no awkward undressing in front of a stranger, and no guesswork. Here’s a full walkthrough of what your visit actually looks like from start to finish.
Booking & Arriving
It starts with booking. You pick a time slot that works for you through our online booking system — morning, lunch break, after work, whenever. When you arrive at our Toronto studio, you’ll check in and head to your private room. Inside, you’ll find everything you need: barrier cream for your palms, feet, and nails, a hair cap, and clear instructions on how to prep. You undress to your comfort level (most people go fully bare for the most even coverage, but swimwear or underwear works too — we recommend men wear underwear or shorts), apply the barrier cream to dry areas, and step into the booth.
Inside the Booth
Once you’re inside, the booth does the thinking for you. It detects your height automatically and adjusts accordingly. A calm voice walks you through four stances — front, back, and both sides — each lasting about 30 to 45 seconds. The prompts are clear, paced well, and easy to follow even on your very first visit. Between each spray pass, warm air dries the solution so you don’t feel drenched or uncomfortable.
Add a Skincare Treatment
Before the spray cycle begins, you’ll choose your solution type, level, and an optional complimentary full-body skincare treatment right on the booth touchscreen. Choose Hydrate for deep, multi-layer moisture powered by hyaluronic acid, or Lift — often called “Botox in a bottle” — for a firming, collagen-stimulating treatment applied head-to-toe. The booth walks you through the skincare poses automatically after your tan, adding under 2 minutes to your session.
Done in Minutes
The whole spray cycle is done in about 4 minutes, plus a couple more if you add skincare. After your last stance, you step out and get dressed. Most clients are in and out of the studio in under 15 minutes total. There’s no waiting room full of people, no rushed technician juggling back-to-back clients — just you, your private room, and a perfectly consistent tan.
